Sorry for being so dramatic, but since my instance is closing down, i’ll quickly give away some GoG codes I have lying around.

Just mention which game you would want (and make sure you intend to play it) and also write one or two lines about some good gaming memories you would like to share.

One game per account and account must be more than a week old.

First time I attended a LAN party was with a group of 40 people who hired out the two conference rooms at the local library. First medal of homour game was a blast, especially 1 moment where I ended up last alive getting advice from the other 7 people on my team who were clustered around trying to coach me through taking on the last three Germans from the other team. Also helping to cart all the monitors in was some good cardio, kinda miss moving 24" Sony Trinitron CRTs around… Oh wait no I don’t at all.

Kids will never know the pain. I remember that for a small time CRTs had the advantage over LCDs due to their higher refresh rate (75 Hz over 60 Hz) so pro players preferred CRTs.

Btw, you didn’t mention any game.

Thanks for the giveaway! I would really like Wolfenstein II.

    Edit:

Forgot to mention one of my favorite gaming moments from over 10 years ago: Organizing a LAN party with friends, some of them not gamers. They had a great time as well. One came with a Mac and didn’t. We shared and made it work.

I made a small mistake. I have both the Xbox and Microsoft Store version. Do you have a preference?

Silvester 21/22 was lockdown due to corona here. We had a party of about 10 people celebrating on discord all night, actually doing a golf with your friends tournament. despite what was going on at the time, it is one of my fondest memories.

    Hypnospace Outlaw seems really fun.

I would love to give Hypnospace Outlaw a try! Thanks for the giveaway! Every once in a while a take out an old PC to play some DOS or early Windows games. Recently i played Lotus III on DOS. I still like the game’s soundtrack. :)

You should give the Amiga version a go via an emulator. You might be interested in the differences. Loved that trilogy back in the day.

I’d love Golf with your friends if you have it available, thank you!

As for good gaming memories, I’ve been meeting with some out of state friends for movies and games on discord for the last couple of years, and I’ve had many a moment having fun just doing stupid stuff playing raft (we went through the whole game, it took about 6 months with our schedules constantly changing). I think one of the funniest memories I have was trying to use the snowski in that game, as one of my friends uses audio controls to play and she was constantly running off without meaning to and being unable to control the snowski gave us all a good 15 min just chasing her.

Golf with friends looks like it might offer some fun to the group as well, thanks in advance.
