You pirate games because Steam opens a window?
EDIT: Seems you’re starting to resort to cheap attacks on me because you got downvoted
You can simply not use any of the AI features. The studio claims the genAI is a model trained solely on material their artists and devs created for this exact purpose and it runs locally, and as far as I know there is nothing in the game that uses genAI other than what the players can generate.
From my understanding, with Nvidia there’s no shared memory on Linux, so when your VRAM maxes out, you get a crash or your game will run in single digit frames.
There is nothing to be done except lowering textures and other VRAM intensive settings, and hoping that one day Nvidia fixes the no shared memory issue.
(I’m assuming you have a Nvidia GPU solely based on those low VRAM numbers)
As far as I know, there’s no shared memory with Nvidia on Linux so that last flag might not do anything
Also game very much recommends RTX 4000 series or better with frame gen turned on.
Capcom straight up recommends frame gen to get 60 FPS, which is not what the current frame gen tech was made for, it’s ridiculous how bad this game runs
I’m not using the flatpak but rather the one straight from Arch repos. I did notice all the presets I had were using renderD129
and I found out I only have renderD128
as well so I changed that, but now it barely uses my GPU and CPU during render.
❯ ls -hal /dev/dri/render*
crw-rw-rw- root render 0 B Sun Feb 23 09:47:45 2025 /dev/dri/renderD128
Here’s the render settings and outputs of btop
, amdgpu_top
and LACT:
My issue with Kdenlive is that no matter what I do it never uses my GPU (7900 XTX) for rendering. I’ve tried multiple rendering presets and configs, codecs, made sure all the libs and related packages are installed but it never works
Gamers massively overstate minor inconveniences. TAA smearing, upscaling artifacts, VA ghosting and blooming, ray tracing noise, all of that you get used to it on a day or two and never notice it again but leave it to the gamer to go on a crusade like their lives and the world are doomed because of it
How is atomic less confusing? Immutable means that something doesn’t change, atomic means that it’s the size of an atom or has nuclear energy
EDIT: I’ve learned that some people are overly pedantic about the meaning and practical use of the word “immutable”, so much so that they decided to create a bigger confusion by giving another word a completely different and exclusive meaning
This remaster has been leaked and rumoured since 2020 though
