The production value in this was abysmal. If Powerpoint animation is your thing, congratulations, it’s here.
Those criticizing the animation quality in TBATE ought to watch this before writing anything else.
But I was surprised by the story. All kinds of not-so subtle things hint that something is off:
The villagers refer to themselves as Children of Moloch, not a traditionally good thing to call yourself.
Our protagonist hints that he’s got memories of our modern world, and incongruously, magic.
If I can stomach the animation, this might be worth watching some more.
I remember liking AD Police more than Bubblegum Crisis.
The good news is that we’re seeing a lot more different individuals posting in the episode threads, which is fantastic because I had a hard time starting, much less keeping up with last season’s shows.
Hopefully we’ll see even more consistent and numerous participants in discussion this season…
OP2 is growing on me…
That was a satisfying conclusion to this group fight.
Weird vibes in that encounter between Sakura and Suo though. Some unfinished business on Suo’s end?
Taiga, the bushy haired headband dumbbell guy isn’t going to last very long if he lets people punch his head like that though…
edit: For some reason, I enjoyed this episode more than the first one. Better direction? More of our favorite Bofurin being cool than getting beat up?
I have that camera that she’s holding in the default picture:
It’s a Ricoh Theta 360 degree camera.
Feature a game or utility or OS of the day/week, with commentary on it?
To set the flavor of what you want in the /c, subject to change, pending what the contributors actually want instead…
Unless your sidewalks are made of gypsum.
Wow, so 20,000 people read this?
Lemmy’s more popular than I thought.
Sidewalk chalk isn’t made of chalk anymore?
TIL: It’s made of calcium sulfate, i.e. gypsum, the same stuff that goes into drywall, as opposed to calcium carbonate, i.e. rock chalk.
I think the second episode was a lot better.
What made you think AI stuff enters the writing?
Dad got ghosted…
At least she got a raise at the same time…
Well that was slightly better with less plot and action than episode 1…
Do I like it yet? Enh, not really.
I think it’s more of Jinya feeling sorry for and forgiving his father, and going back without really coming home so that the plot can move on.
Interesting…
They certainly have the combat scenes down, with the half-weighty mecha.
We’ll have to see how the story develops.
Damn, even if I saw that coming, I still wound up cutting onions…
Meg needs to get going really fast now, or the math says she won’t catch up.
I’m surprised she didn’t get a drop from her friend in the first half.
That was interesting…
The sadness around the dead robots, and the hopelessness of the situation those remaining are in…
Good start, but we’ll have to see where it goes…
A much more interesting episode!
The contrast between Arthur’s past life as King Grey is made even more apparent.
For a kid of 4, he’s got good skills, and people are noticing…
That was good.
Even though there’s no sound except the characters talking, it was still very watchable.
There’s a strange foreboding atmosphere around the setting. The weird object hanging over it represents the enigma.
Kowloon City doesn’t exist anymore.
For another over-romanticized treatment of the place, see the Hong Kong movie Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In

You could just feel that she was going to get dragged back into another jam session…
What’s odd is that none of the other girls got her Freudian slip about the (Red Hot) Chili Peppers. Do none of them listen to pop or rock?
