So, uh, this is how I learned that Viz owns RWBY now.
Interesting. Did a tiny bit of digging, and it seems the defendants were mostly “fake” merch companies and drop shippers from the likes of Temu and Amazon, probably selling stuff like bootleg T-shirts, posters, body pillows, etc.
Looking through the list of sellers, I don’t think they’re going to collect much, if any, of that…
They certainly won’t get the full amount they’re going for, but the sellers’ Amazon accounts will be locked and any funds currently in there will be frozen and recovered, so it’s not like they’re getting nothing either.
