Not really for writing yet either. Its an assistant. It can write code sections and comments that then have to be reviewed and edited a bit. Rather than a coder having to go back and forth between a search engine as they write they are more likely to be able to stay in the ide.
You hit the nail right on the head. Chromebooks got decent enough uptake and many folks just use an ios or android smartphone and don’t really use a computer. In some ways its nice things are like this. At least for me. I used to eat fast food way to often but that bout of inflation hit fastfood hard and now I rarely if ever eat it. Even my once in awhile is a non chain burger, hot dog, beef, gyro, burrito type place and not taco bell or mcdonalds since the mom and pop places are like a buck or two more for higher quality. Still pretty rare though.
I use zorin. I can use it right away after I install for most things and over time I have added a few things. I do find the gui software interface annoying (its an ubuntu spin so same as ubuntu) so either download the ubuntu option for things on the web so it is just like installing with windows or I do apt at the command line. Its good for running windows software but not necessarily gaming as it is by no means bleeding edge. So its all about stability and out of box usage that gives you an interface that is very windows like.
I have never had issues with nvidia really. Mostly folks get annoyed because its no open source so as long as your distro can use the repo with the nvidia drivers it should be fine. If you already have it installed on the other drive though you should know how its doing.
I have not had it crash for me in years.
It is to me. For documents I tend to export as a pdf so there is no formatting issues on the other persons end with the file. If they ask for a microsoft format I save it as that and send it to them.
I mean debugging and adding features is coding and debugging im even more likely to look up the things im looking at since I did not write it myself. I honestly rarely use man pages except for linux commands when im at the command line atm. Architecture usually is usually has its own team outside of the lowers.
