I burned through AD police/Bubblegum Crisis a few years ago. Not the best, but really good and worth your time if you’re into that genre.

Dominion Tank Police and Patlabor will always be my favorite Robo crime-fighting Anime. (The latter being cyberpunk robots in a realistic, present-day Japan.)

Good visuals, good music. I really like the world building even if it’s so wonkeyjawed.

The show starts out with a very established order and way of life in order to survive, Neon Genesis-style. Then the children go and make their own society without blackjack or hookers, Gurren Lagann-style.
