Always a good sign when, in a promo shot for a watch, I’m having trouble reading what time it is.

I’m sure lthe iquid glass watch face is completely optional but damn, when I glance at my wrist I just want the time to be simple and obvious.

The popular Photos watch face is enhanced with numerals made of Liquid Glass, allowing users to see even more of their photo.

I always assumed more people would be interested in seeing the time rather than photo.

The way I see it iOS and macOS are typically released well into the fall, so it doesn’t make sense to name them 2025 versions when they’ll get the most use and refinement in 2026. Everything else just follows that cadence as secondary systems.

Guessing it’s like how car makers release 2026 models in 2025.

Apple sometimes (often? usually?) releases devices and OS updates towards the end of the year to capitalize on holiday shopping, so their logic is probably that this is what they will “start” 2026 with.

Wrist flick function sounds good. Notes integration a positive. I’m not into the other stuff, but I’m sure things like the workout buddy will be welcomed for some.
